In August of 1978, we the Jewish believers in Philadelphia's
Messianic community, began to discuss the possibility
of forming a private elementary school for our children.
At that time, our foremost desire was to provide an
environment in which our children could develop a strong
spiritual foundation, and at the same time receive superior
academic education. Also, as Messianic pioneers of spiritual
Zionism, we were equally concerned that our children
be educated in an awareness of their Jewishness - their
roots, culture, and prophetic destiny.Through the years,
God has blessed us with academically and spiritually
qualified teachers. By 1986, we grew to include grades
Pre-K-12th. We have graduated students to excellent
schools, which include University of Pennsylvania, Temple,
Drexel, St. Joseph's, and Valley Forge Christian College. |

In 2001, the administration made a decision to focus
on elementary school, so our middle school and high
school were closed. Many of our students chose to continue
their Messianic education by attending Cornerstone H.S.,
a school started by Linda Brown.Chalutzim Academy has
now celebrated 29 years of educating our children. We
continue to provide a warm environment, small classes
with individualized education, and Godly, capable teachers.
Grades Pre-K-6th also learn Hebrew, learn about Israel,
and about Jewish culture and tradition. We are grateful
for how God has worked and continue to look forward
to what He has for us in the future. We set out, still
as Pioneers, going where God leads.

At Chalutzim Academy we work together with the parents
to educate our children in the love of the lord, so
they can impact their commmunity with the Word of
